Working With You During a Canada Post Service Disruption

13th Nov 2024

The WSCC is committed to minimizing service interruption for our stakeholders. Please review alternatives to using mail for employers, workers, claimants, pensioners, and suppliers.

Claims & Pensions

Payments to injured workers will continue as scheduled. We strongly encourage those receiving payments by cheque to sign up for electronic fund transfer (EFT). Please contact your claim owner if you wish to sign up. You can download the form from our website.

If you do not have a bank account, please speak with your Claim Owner to find out when and how you will receive your money.

Employers

During a Canada Post service disruption, you must continue to make your assessment payments on time. Normal legislated penalties on overdue amounts will continue to be levied and due immediately.

You can conveniently make payments by using:

  1. Online: Employer Assessment Payments can be submitted through WSCC Connect.
  2. Online banking: use your financial institution’s online banking tools, available from most major banks.
  3. In person: visit our Yellowknife or Iqaluit offices and pay using Visa, MasterCard, debit card, or cheque.
  4. Over the phone: call the WSCC to process your payment. Phone Toll-Free: 844-238-5008 (option 3).

Sign up for E-statements. This is the fastest way to receive your Employer Monthly Statement. You can manage your payments with the flexibility of accessing statements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Before you sign up, check with your WSCC Connect Access Administrator to ensure user account details are up to date. Correct email addresses are important for receiving the notice to let you know your Monthly Statement is ready to view. Check out the 3-step guide and sign up today!

Medical Health Care Suppliers

Please email all medical invoices to WSCCAP@wscc.nt.ca. To submit statements of account, follow up on existing invoices, or for other financial inquiries, please continue to email finance@wscc.nt.ca.

To avoid delays in receiving payments, WSCC encourages all vendors to take advantage of the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) option. Contact us at 867-920-3888 or email finance@wscc.nt.ca to request the Electronic Fund Transfer form, or download it online.

All Other Suppliers

To receive payment, fax your invoice to us at 867-873-4596 or email it to finance@wscc.nt.ca. If you are located in Yellowknife or Iqaluit, we can prepare your cheque and have it ready for you to pick up. If you are located outside Yellowknife or Iqaluit, you can arrange for an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) through your financial institution. Contact us at 867-920-3888 or email finance@wscc.nt.ca to set this up.

Reports of Injury

Please do not put a Worker’s Report of Injury, or First Medical Report in the mail. If you cannot submit forms electronically, you can fax or call.

Your Claim Owner will phone you to discuss the decision made on your claim. They will also send your decision letter to a secure fax number or email address you provide.

Review Committee Requests

To request a review, fax it to 867-873-4596 or toll-free 1-866-277-3677. Any review requests, correspondence, and/or documentation pertaining to a review can also be emailed to the Review Committee at ReviewCommittee@wscc.nt.ca.

When the Review Committee makes its decision on your review, they will send your decision letter to a secure fax number or email address you provide.
