Report an Injury

After you provide first aid for your injured worker, and transport them to the closest hospital or medical centre (if necessary), you must report the injury to the WSCC.

Injury Reporting Process for Employers:
  • Step 1

    Complete and submit an Employer's Report of Injury form;

  • Step 2

    Have your injured worker submit a Worker's Report of Injury form;

  • Step 3

    Give your worker a copy of the completed Employer's Report of Injury form;

  • Step 4

    Keep an accurate account of the incident: what happened, where it happened, why it happened, who it happened to, any witnesses;

  • Step 5

    Orally report the incident by calling WSCC’s 24-Hour Incident Reporting Line (1-800-661-0792); and 

  • Step 6

    Safely remove the hazard that caused the initial injury. Monitor closely.
