North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is
May 6-12. We’re celebrating and want you to join in! 

Looking for how you can celebrate? Check out these ideas below:

  • Join the WSCC at the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) North of 60 Chapter Annual NAOSH Week Kick-off Breakfast and Safety Seminar on Monday, May 7 at the Chateau Nova Hotel in Yellowknife. To register, email

  • Enter CSSE’s NAOSH Employer Recognition Contest, and earn recognition for your organization and co-workers! Email your entry to Entry Deadline: June 8, 2018. Winners of the 2017 contest will be announced during NAOSH Week 2018. 

  • Take a picture of yourself being safe at work, tag @WSCCNTNU, and use the #WorthIt hashtag on Facebook and Twitter to win great prizes!

  • You can have safety discussions with your team all year round! To lead a Safety Talk at your office or work site, download one of our safety resources, for example a Safety Bulletin.

Safety Coffee Breaks

Register for a Safety Coffee Break with the WSCC, available in several communities throughout the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (Yellowknife, Hay River, Inuvik, Iqaluit, Pangnirtung, and Rankin Inlet). We’ll come to you with coffee and snacks, and lead a Safety Talk with you and your staff!
