The Management Practices Questionnaire is available at the link above. You can complete it online and use the submit button to email it directly to the Safe Advantage Specialist. Please note all required fields and questions need to be complete in order to submit it. If using web-based mail such as Gmail or Hotmail, please save the questionnaire to your desktop and forward by email to SafeAdvantage@wscc.nt.ca.
The questionnaire is compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader and Internet Explorer. If you have any issues with accessing it, call the Safe Advantage Specialist.
Safe Advantage is a mandatory annual program with specific criteria. Currently, it includes all employers with a three-year average assessment over $40,000. This small number of employers is responsible for 60% of all WSCC new claims costs.
Safe Advantage is an employer safety incentive program. Its basic principles promote workplace safety and Return to Work.
Safe Advantage is a sound business investment, with potentially high returns. This financial incentive program rewards Safe Advantage employers with proven health and safety, return to work/claims management practices, and low claims experience costs. Those employers who fall short of Safe Advantage standards pay penalties.
Employers with poor health and safety, return to work/claims management practices, and unreasonably high claims experience costs must be accountable for driving up assessment rates.
To ensure financial and administrative responsibility, Safe Advantage targets a relatively small number of employers. The WSCC developed a custom program that creates positive change, not a program where increased administrative costs leave us static.
